IDEAL Cell: Partner 8 AGH
The AGH (Akademia Gomiczo-Hutnicza) University of Science and Technology is the second largest technical university in Poland. Located in Krakow, it was established in 1919. It has 15 faculties, of which the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics. The Department of Solid State Chemistry at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of the AGH University of Science and Technology will be Partner 8 in the project IDEAL-Cell. The main research activity in the Department concerns reactivity and electrochemical properties of solids, and related topics such as:
- Thermodynamics of ionic and electron defects in oxides and sulphides of transition metals;
- Chemical and specific diffusion in oxide and sulphide ceramic materials, intercalation;
- Theory of diffusion in single and multicomponent systems;
- High temperature corrosion of metals and alloys, designing new heat resistant materials;
- Ceramic superconductors;
- Ceramics processing (screen printing).
