News: IDEAL-Cell First Consortium & Executive Board Meeting
The first IDEAL-Cell project Consortium & Executive Board Meeting was organized by Partner 8 (AGH) and took place at the University of Science and Technology (Krakow, Poland) between January 12-14, 2009 with the participation of 25 representatives of all Partners. The two main topics of discussion were the:
- state of the art of the project in relation to the First periodic consortium report preparation (Deliverable 1.1);
- preparation for the important “Proof of the concept” milestone in the end of Year 2, which is an obligatory step for the project continuation.
The discussion “Proof of Concept – experimental evidence” started in November 2008. During the meeting the basic experimental approaches were marked and a working group for performance of specialized experiments related to WP4 tasks was structured.
The conclusions drawn during the meetings confirmed the constructive role of meetings with participation of a larger number of people involved in different project activities for the successful implementation of the tasks. A tentative agenda for Work Meetings devoted to different aspects in the project work was accepted. As a result, eight work meetings are planed for the period January 2009 – January 2010, including the first Project Workshop and two Consortium Meetings.
